Panama!

The Paradise Earth Team has been in Panama since last Sunday... but today is the first day we have had internet to update you on our trip!

We spent our Friday at Finca Dracula, the famous South American Orchid Farm. The Dracula Orchid was discovered by Andres Maduro; Andres bought a Panamanian cattle farm in 1969, and over the years has developed it into one of the most prominent orchid farms in the world.

The Dracula Orchid is aptly named - it is sleepy during the day, drooping forward... and awakens and stands upright at nightfall. Check out the attached images of the Dracula; the first photo shows its full "face", and the second shows its sleepy daytime demeanor. The third image shows another amazing orchid at the Finca (the Spanish word for "farm").

Look for a full slideshow of images from Finca Dracula after our return from Panama in mid-March.
